When a player has only one small piece left, they are "hived" and must place that final small piece on their opponent's back row. At this point, they become a slave to their opponent and can no longer move or capture pieces on their own behalf. The winner is declared when either all of the opponent's pieces are captured or when all of the player's pieces are surrounded so they can no longer move.
